LIYAD is the private initiative of Liyan Hu and Ad ‘t Gilde. With LIYAD Consulting, they aim to support younger generations (people, companies, organisations) to develop themselves personally and professionally.

Adriaan ‘t Gilde grew up in the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands. He studied business economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (NL).
During his career he gathered up in-depth know how about the supplier management, supply chain risk management, global sourcing, (focus China), as well as process and data management, resulting in the conception and implementation of ERP Systems.
Independent of a specific industry or function, he is very experienced in negotiations (focus on Game Theory) and doing international culture workshops.
Over the past 20 years, he has repeatedly given lectures and held workshops for various national and international universities, companies and specialist organisations. In 2024, he was appointed as Professor of Practice at the North-West University of South Africa.
His main hobbies are cycling and wines.


Liyan Hu grew up in the province of Zhejiang, China. She studied Medicine in Hangzhou (China), Biology at the Free University in Berlin (Germany), and obtained her PhD degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Zurich (Switzerland).
During her career, Liyan is actively involved in the field of Clinical Quality Management, with a focus on Good Clinical Practices (GCP). She serves as a Life Science Consultant in a consulting company and as a Quality Manager in a Clinical Research Organization in Switzerland.
As a wine lover, Liyan obtained her WSET Diploma in Wine and Spirit (DipWSET) in 2024. She developed her knowledge of wines and the wine industry. She possesses a strong aptitude for sensory evaluation and other key characteristics of wines effectively. Additionally, she established a small wine business in China, featuring her own labels, annually adapting to the new sign of the Zodiac. Liyan could act as a highly competent wine consultant and tasting partner.
